My son was fishing on the North Saskatchewan River on a warm calm evening with the sun going down. He was catching walleye when his older brother snapped this photo. It was a beautiful evening standing in the water hearing the gentle soft sound of the rippling water.

Today both my 13 year old son and I lost our sturgeonity. After two hours of patiently waiting for the rod to show any sign of life it finally bent over. Once the hook set was done we knew we had a big one! The line on the reel was smoking as this beast went on a run. Jackson "Get in the boat" I said. We chased this monster all over the river for 45 minutes until we were all exhausted. Pictures were quickly taken and memories were captured! What a feeling watching my boy release this 60" fish back to the depths of the North Saskatchewan River just west of Edmonton, Alberta.
