Large tree in water, buried in sand, half floated

This is a canadian government dock which is excellent for big and small boats. It is protected and deep.

Although the picture is of my, it reminds me of my father who art in heaven. He would have loved this picture, not really because of the size of the fish, but because of the fact that I also love to do what he loved to do so much with his family. I usually don't hold the fish, but how could I deny such a great photo keepsake. Even when we don't catch, a day on the lake is like a day in heaven! I hope my children can enjoy the peacefulness of the water as much as I do!

Started the year of right catching this beautiful inland rainbow on Jan 2nd 2017 while fishing near Sault Ste. Marie Ontario.

A small bay located on the eastern shore of Lake Superior, about 40 km north of Sault Ste. Marie, Batchawana Bay offers great fishing for salmon, rainbow trout, northern pike, lake trout and walleye. Spring and fall are the prime seasons for steelhead (rainbow) and salmon fishing. The community and Batchawana Provincial Park are on the western side of the bay. A public boat launch is located east of Batchawana Provincial Park near the mouth of the Batchawana River. The bay takes its name from an Ojibway word referring to the bubbling waters created by strong currents between Batchawana Island and Sand Point. The largest fish ever caught in the Great Lakes was a sturgeon caught in the early 1920s by Frank Lapoint in Batchawana Bay. It was 7.5 ft. long and weighed 310 lbs.
