It's entirely possible to fall in love... with a body of water. My fishing pal Adam earned some solid callouses form the cork grips on our fly rods while landing beautifully decorated speckled trout in the clear and cool water of the Sutton River watershed. This one was a brilliant example of the quality of the remote fishery. Not for the faint of heart, unless camping with one eye open for polar bears is your thing!

An atypically SMALL coastal speck of the Sutton River.

Bamboo guru Adam Chow landed this beautiful coastal speckled trout on the Sutton River last summer. Mid-west fly fishing in the east!

Another beautiful coastal brook trout!

This is another hefty coastal brook trout from the Hudson Bay watershed. My friend Adam Chow and I spent a week in heaven. Going home was the hardest part of roughing it for a 10 days in the rain, wind and cold (except for this gorgeous sunny day). This fish in particular was truly a treat because of its colours and fight - I recall making an other-worldly sound of joy when I saw it jump and finally landed it! I almost looked over my shoulder to see who made the noise :D Photo credits to camera man Adam.

My pal Adam Chow and I took the trip of a lifetime to the Sutton River near Polar Bear Provincial Park. Day in and day out we caught the most Speck-tacular (get it?) brook trout on the fly. The water was gin clear and cool and it was mostly sight-fishing pockets and riffles. Big fish on small water makes for a truly memorable day.

Kasba Lake Lodge - Unforgettable trophy fishing!

30 plus pound lake trout all over with the chance of catching 50+ pound lake trout!! Monster Northern Pike and I mean monsters! 50+ Inches long weighing over 35 pounds. We were able to land 16 Pike over 40 inches in four days between two fisherman! Biggest of the trip was 49 inches long!!!! Lets not forget about the incredible Artic Grayling fishery on the lake as well as the famous KAZAN River!!! caught so many grayling between 3 and 4 pounds! was like fishing with an umbrella and hotdogs! The Owners, Guides, and staff make the trip very worthwhile! All very friendly and always looking to find ways to improve your fishing game. The chef is absolutely amazing!!! Couldn't ask for better! The cabins are beautiful all heated with plumbing! Cant wait to go back again and search for the monster 50 plus pound lake trout! The whole lake is an amazing fishery in its self! Easily can catch 100+ trout, pike and grayling a day! Shore lunches everyday, cant think of any other way to fish! Very great job on the Hill family for keeping this lodge operational for so many years! Would recommend this lodge to any and all that ask! Will be going back 2018!!!!! 5 out of 5 stars all the way.
