the most best spot from 2-3 pound pike and bass is also a danger due to the massive amount of boat traffic causing waves that can be dangerous for a kayaker fishing and scare of fish.

Boat Launch Marker Added

"Ball Park Boat Launch" is suitable for boats that can handle 6 inches of water. Very shallow to launch here but certainly does the trick for 16ft aluminum multi species boats or aluminum bass boats.

It's small but it works

Had a fantastic day on Lake Dore July 28 2016. Calm winds and water so it was quite comfortable fishing for 6 hours in my little 12 footer. Caught 9 Small Mouth, 3 Pike ( one was 36 inches long) and a couple of Black Crappie on the north shore of the lake . Threw everything back however as the fish finder was reading the water temperature at 78.3 degrees F and I didn't want to take a chance that the fish were wormy.

Nutriant level is High here

Like Most presured lakes, your going to expect to see a consistant drop in fish avtiviy during peak times of day here. Bass will Hit activly in June-August in all the classic Weedbed stucture and you have to look for temprature variations to really get on the fish too. As Ive mentioned this lake does well primarily for Largemouth Bass. Topwaters work well of cource aswell as weedless spinners or spoons. Ide fish most of the southern bays with weedless rigs as its becomeing weed choked. due to the size of fish in the leke ranging between a few Oz up to about 6ibs for some largemouth its ok to have downsized lures all year. lighter baitcasting or spinning reels with 4-8 ibs Mono works fine.

Trolling success along this shore is nominal to non existant. using standard flat linging tecniques has proven futile. recommend targeting structure over suspended fish as there is very little cover
