Stupid simple ice flies I’ve been tying for a long time. I tie both jigged and non-jigged versions with tungsten beads. These flies are my go-to on jaw jackers for trout or work well tied onto the main line with a drop shot style knot which enables you to fish two lures on one line
Heres a version of my disco perch color unnamed ice jig (I’m thinking of calling it the dangler). I’ve been catching perch and Cisco on the same jig but with a treble hook and split ring instead of the dropper chain. This can basically be tied in any color and even in glow versions. Double tungsten beads help it sink fast. The last step is to trim the point of the hook that the jig is tie on.
Chasing schools of bluegill in a 15 foot basin with weed beds. Looking for fish with the active Target and then moving to the closest pre drilled hole and dropping a micro tungsten jig on top of them
