Caught 5 kokanee and 2 rainbow trout. Pretty good fighters although you can’t really release Kokanee because they hurt themselves so badly. Any tips for catch and release?
No pictures, my phone was dead, but I caught more fish than I can count. Pumpkinseeds and tiny smallmouth bass. Right by the rocks with a hook worm and bobber. Caught at least 20
I’ve fished at deep lake quite a bit. the fish are very picky! But there’s no better feeling than hooking into a giant rainbow trout out in the woods after a long hike.
Unfortunately, this species of fish is everywhere in skaha lake and the channel. It felt like a 1 pound fish on the end of my line but ended up being closer to 3. If you catch this species of fish, don’t release it. They’re bad for the environment and prevent other species from thriving.
