McKinley May 30, 2010

Nice lake but the camping area is not good. Camping sites are really small and situated in a clearing, no privacy between sites at all. Campground also located by the resevoir so it is a little loud with the sound of rushing water.

McKinley Lake Rainbow

We are told that you can catch very large rainbows in McKinley Lake but this picture is called "Bigger McKinley Fish" because the fish was bigger than my husband caught.

Eagle's Nest at McKinley Lake

After coming down the channel from the campsite and turning towards the main area of McKinley Lake, the Eagle's Nest is obvious. Below it, on the island is a little beach and picnic area.
