Pike Sizing

Expect to find Pike in the 2 to 6 Ibs Range as an average size . Small fish are readily in the shallows all summer and can be found throughout the lake. you can expect to target larger fish in the shallows early in the season pay attention to temperature variations often colder water temps in certain areas of the lake can lead to larger fish being found. Large sized Pike. 12 to 18 ibs will avoid shallow water after it undergoes a consistent warming. This will force them below that temperature line. Larger Pike though can still be found in the shallows if you can find deeper holes with access to the main lake. After consistant warming its safe to switch to jigging or trolling in deep water and there are ample choices for trolling all over the lake, Exposed rocks , drop offs and week lines with a variety of contour lines.
