I have been fishing Lake Memesagamesing in Port Loring Ontario for years. Owner of Matthews Little Portage camp has been stocking the lake for years. We were trolling by one of the shoals when this beauty hit, almost lost it 3 times by swimming right under the boat. I was using 6 lb test and a 7 foot rod, if the rod was any shorter I probably would have lost it. Once we landed it and it was safely in the boat, I let out a scream of yaaa baby that was so loud, you could here it across the lake. We raced back to the cottage to weigh it and take a few pictures and then released it back in the lake. The scales I used were not the best, they weighed the fish at 13 pounds 8 ounces. When I used the measurements on the online weight calculator it estimated the fish was 12 pounds 15 ounces. Fish memory that I will never forget. Gary H
