About ArrowHead Lake
Arrowhead Lake, north of Dryden, is located in an area of abundant lakes and forests. There are dozens of other fishing lakes within close proximity to Arrowhead Lake. Arrowhead Lake is home to a good bass population. Some of the best bass
fishing happens in the heat of the summer. While other species often tend to be more active during the spring and fall, bass prefer the warmer temperatures.
Near Arrowhead Lake, within Arrowhead Provincial Park, Mayflower Lake is stocked with brook trout. Brook trout are definitely cooler-water fish, and the depths of Mayflower Lake are a good habitat for the trout. Somewhat further down the line is the fabulous Lac Seul. Lac Seul is home to trophy walleye, trophy muskie, northern pike, bass and perch. It tends to be more shallow than Arrowhead and Mayflower Lakes, and is weedy, with diverse underwater structure that makes for excellent fish habitat.
