This was caught on lake Wolsey (part of the North Channel) on Manitoulin Island near Evansville, ON. Ethan (who was 9 at the time), doesn’t care what he catches as long as he is out fishing...he will fish all day, rain or shine!
Fishing off shore on the point, my son Ethan hooked up to this 5lb Smallnouth bass! A fight he will remember for the rest of his life, and I will for the rest of mine!
I was backing up the truck in order to load the boat onto the trailer when my son Ethan (9 at the time), got my attention by yelling at me, he caught this nice 12 lb Northern Pike off of the dock in about 2 feet of water At approximately 3:30 PM! He was pumped as we didn’t have much luck on the lake that day!
