See my other post for complete description... multi species... Perch, Crappie, Walleye, Northern Pike

Today I had the pleasure of going on a fishing outing with Yannick from Ottawa River Guided Fishing... Last year I got skunked on the Ottawa... and i wanted to end that.... I've known for a while that Yannick is a great guide from pictures and other people's comments, and I got first hand proof today....I brought back a limit of pike, a few walleye, a few big perch, and a nice haul of crappie. That doesn't include the batch of 19-23" walleye we sent back because of the slot limit on the Ottawa until the 15th of June, nor the numerous other pike, crappie and perch. Yannick is the consummate professional, working to ensure success, helping me not only to catch fish, but to learn how to catch them as well so that I can repeat when I'm on my own. I learned more in one day about the Ottawa, than I have in the past year, and I can't wait to try to put into practice what I've learned. If anyone ever wants a guide to go fishing with on the Ottawa River, I wouldn't hesitate a moment in suggesting Yannick. I just hope to have the pleasure of going on another trip with him in future.... other pictures follow this post.

Fishing on the Rideau... nice...
Fishing on the Rideau... nice bass.

Another nice day on the Ottawa
Almost same place, almost same time, 3 years later. Went fishing with my wife, searching for walleye, but hooked myself a nice musky. After taking a quick couple of pics, back down to the depths he went. 3 years earlier, fishing with my buddy, my buddy hooked a 15 lb cat. Ten minutes later, in the same spot where I am now, I hauled out my personal best musky at 42".

Serene Beauty of the South Nation River
Just a nice pic my wife took of an area on the South Nation River.

Relaxing on the South Nation River
Shore fishing once again. Fishing with my wife, and she took a pic of me on the sly.... I only found out about it this week, although the picture was taken in August. Nice weather, good company and fishing are always welcome. Stay safe and enjoy whats left of the nice weather before the hard water season starts.
