Nice catch off of dock
Nice catch she pulled in off of dock

Anyone else noticing that while the walleye have thick heads and some good length, they seem to be getting very skinny? I stopped keeping any simply because there just isn't any meat on them anymore.
Warning Marker Added
General warning. This "lake" is an active flowing hydroelectric dam reservoir. It is a river. It is deep. The water is cold. When boating keep attentions for some floating and semi submerged sticks and logs. There are very few but do watch for them and steer around them. Enjoy the scenery and a smooth ride!

Narrows and the canyon. Beyond this point will encounter stronger currents, surfaces eddies and small whirlpools, noticeable changes in waterflows, scenic waterfalls, a tranquil island, bald eagles, great fishing, and the dam at the end. This passage is not a problem for most boats, just keep the power on and up on plane. Small light and open tinny type boats with low hp less than 50hp should NOT go past this point. The overhead power lines here are your landmark as the go-no-go point.

Info about lake
How big is Wabamun? - relative say ... lesser slave lake. I can see on the map, but how long a real ride is it across or end2end? I am considering taking my boat with me while on VA in the area and may go for a ride. I want to know if it is a half hour tour or a half day thing? Also, fishing tips of course!
