Worth the -40 wondchills howling down the lake to catch this giant 5 lb Brookie in a Brook Trout back lake in Elliot Lake area during the 2018 January opening week for Brook and Lake Trout fishing.
Caught this personal best Brook Trout of mine, weighing 6 lbs 3 oz in the Elliot Lake area in Ontario's Algoma Region in June of 2017. Definitely worth the 3 portages and the countless mosquito bites to get to this Shangri-la style Brookie back lake and hook up with this once in a lifetime catch.
Casted 4 staright days, and in the last hour of the trip up to Kesagami Lake Lodge this Northern Pike smashed the black spinner bait on the end of my line.
