Smallmouth bass in the rain on Second Depot Lake. Great fishing in Ontario in any one of the thousands of back lakes in the Kingston area.

My wife and I enjoy a day out in the boat together and any time we catch a fish it is a bonus. A quick photo and back into the water goes the largemouth bass and my wife and I have a great day.

My wife Sherry loves to show me how she can out-fish me when we head out on the water together. There is no question that her angling skills do not need any refining. She caught several largemouth bass like this one during the day while fishing Colonel By Lake and the River Styx.

Almost 80 years to the day that my great-grandfather caught a halibut, I caught a beautiful one in Ross Bay in Victoria, B.C. My great-grandfather caught his halibut in Ross Bay as well. His spirit must have been with me that day.

Fishing for leviathans in the Fraser River near Harrison Mills, B.C. is an experience that everyone should have at least once in a lifetime. While not the biggest one we caught, it fought like it was 3 times it’s size. Catch, tag check and release of sturgeon is an extraordinary experience.
