Lake Manitou • Lake Trout

Used to catch so many of these guys in the summer opened water season trolling with downriggers. Lake Trout in Manitou seem SO much harder to find in the warm weather lately... at least for me. Anyone out there catching them consistently in the summer? I landed this one near Sandfield.

Charleston Lake • Lake Trout

Seems Charleston Lake might be recovering somewhat as far as the Lake Trout population. Been tough for several years lately, but this past season (2018) saw decent numbers of smaller Lakers. Good sign. All fish released. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeRfa6_esUM
