Interior Lakes Fall Trout.
Fall Is here! And with it comes the Trout bite on the interior lakes of B.C. As cooler days and cooler water temperatures are now upon us, the Trout bite has fired back up in most of the interior lakes of B.C. Now is a good time to get out there with a fly rod and some micro leech or scud patterns to take advantage of some excellent fishing. Early morning and later into the evening are prime times for bigger fish, but there is good fishing to be had through out the entire day. If you have access to a boat and electric trolling motor, I found that slow trolling a small gold bead micro leech provided the best results! Most of the fish I've been catching are near the surface, anywhere between 1 to 4 feet down in 10 to 12 feet of water with water temps hovering in the mid 50 degrees Fahrenheit. So if you get a chance I highly recommend you get out there and wet a line while this window of opportunity lasts.

Pinks Are Open!
Pinks are open on the Fraser! It's time to break out the waders and hot pink spoons and get fishing. Both the tidal and non tidal portions of the river are producing fish, and though the bite is still a little slow there seems to be a decent number of fish coming through. Pink spinners, and small pink spoons are working the best right now, but pink flies and small pink jigs are also producing fish. I've had my best luck fishing with a Gibbs Croc 3/16 oz. spoon in bright pink! Fishing should remain good for as long as the overcast conditions and slightly cooler temperatures last. So get out there and wet a line while this window of opportunity is still open. :)

Another Monster On The Fraser.
Took a day trip with my father Sturgeon fishing on the Fraser River in Chilliwack B.C. and wouldn't you know it he hooks into another monster! After over an hour of fighting the fish we landed it on a small gravel bar over a kilometer down river from where it was originally hooked.

Giant Pink Salmon.
Caught this Giant Pink Salmon fishing on the Fraser River outside of Agassiz British Columbia. Pink salmon average around 2-4 pounds, but this brute weighed in the mid teens! Making it one of the largest specimens caught on the river. ( Just as a reference, the record is just shy of 15lbs. )

Double Trouble.
Two decent sized Pink Salmon caught fishing on the Fraser River during last falls salmon run! Good day all in all, fished until we lost count of how many we caught :) Kept these two bad boys to bring home for the smoker.

Surprise Laker.
While out ice fishing with tip ups for Northern Pike on Lake Memphremagog, I hook into a surprise bonus lake trout! This of course not being too common as the lakers cruise the shallower waters looking for food at this time of year.

St.Francis Smallie.
Early season jig fishing for small mouth bass on the St.Francis river in Bromptonville Quebec. Great day of fishing with over 50 bass caught and even a bonus lake trout.

9+ Foot Fraser River White Sturgeon Caught From Shore.
Caught this big old 9+ foot Fraser River White Sturgeon while fishing from shore near the Mission CP Rail bridge! Guys used to laugh when they saw the gear I was using, saying that 300 yards of 200LB test power pro line on a Shimano Tynos 20 reel and 8 foot Rapala Magnum Big Game rod was overkill for anything I would catch fishing from shore! Well who's laughing now? Lol :D If I didn't have that "overkill" equipment as they called it, I never would have landed this giant. It's like I always say, It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it! Man you should have seen they're faces! :D
