Fraser River Sturgeon Report
Well it's been very good this week for big White Sturgeon! Charter clients are hooking into many fish over 7 and 8 feet on every trip. We are fishing mostly from the Vedder area and downstream to just below Mission. There's good fishing here if you have good bait. Our success rate this year is still at 100% on all 8 or 10hr trips. This is peak season from now until mid November. Bookings are strong so we recommend that you act quick to secure your top spots. Hint: October is wicked Sturgeon and Salmon fishing. Book a multi day package complete with lodging. Sturgeon fishing is 100% catch & release. Handle fish with care!!! Fraser Sturgeon Report
White Sturgeon fishing on the Fraser river in the Mission area has been quite spectacular for our clients since early spring. All of our June charters have produced some very nice fish, many of them over 8 feet. Our biggest of the season was 9'-1" and we suspect that will not stand as the biggest of the season for us. The Fraser river conditions are very favorable for Sturgeon fishing. Check out our website to book your Sturgeon fishing trip. http://www.silversidesfishing.com/sturgeon-fishing-guides-bc/

July 16 Fraser Sturgeon report
We've had a great month so far for Sturgeon fishing and it looks great for the next while. There is a good supply of big Sturgeon in the Fraser river this year. Fraser river water levels are much lower than normal which means we can fish just about anywhere we want. This is allowing us to get big fish. Many of our Sturgeon charters are seeing fish over 7 feet like the 7ft-8" in the photo. Join us in our 18th year of guiding in the Fraser river valley! Brian http://www.silversidesfishing.com

Big Sturgeon are here now!
This is Brian from Silversides Fishing Adventures. Just want to let you know that there's big Sturgeon in the Fraser right now. And I mean big. Lots of reports of guys hooking into fish over 9 feet long, including us. They're tough to get in though! Be prepared to have a tough duel! Amazing Fraser Sturgeon fishing!
Mid way through May and we are experiencing some beauty days of fishing and weather on the Fraser river. Sturgeon fishing trips are producing well with fish in the 3 to 6 foot range but some monsters are showing up too. Last week a client landed a beauty 9 foot Sturgeon(see pic). The Fraser river is in excellent shape this week! Sturgeon are on the move now and covering water is key to success. Best baits are smelts, lamprey, roe, but we have some other baits that are working very good. It’s worth trying many baits at this time of year. Sturgeon fishing should be great over the next few weeks and won't slow down until late November now. We’re always prepared to get you on the river and show you a real good time!. If you want to experience the best big game river fishing in North America then this is it! http://www.silversidesfishing.com

Sockeye frenzy on the Fraser river!
Yes it's all true! There are millions of Sockeye heading up river and so there are lots of Sockeye fishing charters to fill. Yes we still have a few spots open. Everyone is going home with their limit of 2 Socks from the Fraser river. And of course the Sturgeon fishing is producing some fine beasts. 3 days ago one of our repeat clients from Denmark hooked into a hog of a fish in the first 10 minutes of a 2 day fishing package. Seconds after hooking it the Sturgeon came flying out of the river and revealed all 10 feet of itself! Jaws dropped and I'm sure I heard a swear word. This was a fatty explosive fish that was going to be a handful. I assured Kristian that he would be busy for the next hour or 2. Unfortunately the fish thought of going to the far side of the river and introducing us to his friend 'Stumpy'. We tried all the tricks in the book but to no avail. We got all our gear back eventually but no fish. The hogs are tough to land this year so far. Call us at 1-604-864-5445 to book your Fraser river fishing adventure. http://www.silversidesfishing.com

Sturgeon fishing superb!
We've been out quite a bit lately on the Fraser river taking our clients Sturgeon fishing. 3 days ago a father and his 2 sons called us up and wanted to hook up with some nice fish. They had been on a salmon charter the day before out of Vancouver and didn't see the rods move all day so I felt bad for them but knew they could redeem themselves on the Fraser. They booked for a 4 hr charter and boarded the jet boat in Mission at 4pm. I took them to one of my spots that's been producing a lot of action lately and in keeping with consistency it didn't take long to get that first fish on! Dad's hopes were for everyone to fight a fish and that's just what happened. We floated 1 fish to shore and 2 other nice fish in the 4.5-5 ft range were landed. Everyone was happy and left Vancouver with a great experience thanks to the Fraser river Sturgeon fishery.
June Sturgeon Hunting
This is Brian Mack, owner @ Silversides Fishing Adventures http://www.silversidesfishing.ca We love sturgeon fishing on the lower Fraser River, especially in June during the high water. Yes, you really have to know what baits to use and where to find the fish, but if you've figured that out many years ago, the rewards come easy. About two weeks ago I guided a father and his 13-year-old son in the Fraser below Mission. It was one of those days. Everything was perfect, the weather, the river conditions, and yes, very aggressive sturgeon bite. We had our bait on the bottom for only five minutes and it was fish on after a hard rip down. The June sturgeon are well known for intense battles. Very long runs are typical and fish leaping right out of the water is common. That day the fish were intense and we had to chase all our big fish, the biggest for over 3 km. It was like that for the next five hours. Our first fish measured six feet two inches. We landed two other big fish measuring six feet eight inches and a big boy of seven feet two inches. We also got a few smaller ones from 3 three to five feet. One of the fish that got free was something much bigger, however, but that's fishing! It's there in the river waiting for you. The pic is a fish that the 13-year-old fought almost completely by himself.
Merritt lakes producing
Brian Mack of Silversides wet his lines in the Coquihalla-Merritt region in the last week of May and offers this report: "Just got back from 5 days fly fishing this area. The lakes near the old toll booth area are hard or impossible to access due to lots of snow on backroads, so we went further down the road towards Merritt and did very well fishing entirely with strike indicators and midges from 2-ft. to 20-ft. depths. This method is so effective that my 1 rod outproduced a total of 12 other rods on a few days. We encountered rainbows up to 5 lbs. quite frequently and landed lots of fish in the 18-20 inch range. Best flies will be small (#12-16) chronies in black, bright green, brown, tan, red and chrome plus shrimp and micro-leech. Silversides started out guiding for rainbows on Interior lakes two decades ago, and now it's just second nature for us to find and hook fish. Last May we were fishing a well known lake one afternoon and there were about 12 rods on the water either fly fishing or trolling. More than 50 fish were caught, 2 by the other 10 rods!"
