Trolling very slowly just off the bottom for Lake trout and thought I had tied into one.....was using 12 lbs test line and could not get the fish to budge, fought it for several hours and it even towed the 16 foot boat around. Finally had to give up as bad weather began to move in. I may have accidentally tied into a sturgeon as I am always able to bring up lake trout and have used a lot lighter line (caught a 14 lbs. lake trout on 4 pound test).
