Bare Lake Wilderness Lodge is located on Bare Lake in the heart of Bonaparte Provincial Park. It is completely isolated and is the only cabin on the lake. It is fully equipped and provides lodging for up to 16 guests. Lakes are managed to preserve the quality of fishing. Size and quantity limits have been set on each lake and catch and release is encouraged. There is also more to Bare Lake than fishing. The area provides unique hiking, photography, bird watching and wildlife experiences for guests of all ages.

Bonaparte Lake is the largest lake on the Bonaparte Plateau north of Kamloops and due to its depth the lake stays cool throughout the summer. The recreation site is situated on the west side of the lake and offers four campsites and a gravel cartop boat launch.

Travel along Hwy 24 to Bridge Lake. Turn south onto Bonaparte road and follow for 3 km. Turn southeast onto Eagan Bonaparte road and travel for 15 km. After passing Eagan Lake turn south east to remain on the Eagan Bonaparte road. Follow the road south 11 km to Bonaparte Lake. Turn east onto the access road into the site.
