I wintered here in 1983 from October to February, and lived off the land in a small wooden cabin. That was 42 years ago. I've aged a bit since then. Looking back, these were the happiest carefree days ove my life . Two Otters came to visit, sliding all over the ice, having a great time. Me, and the otters enjoid the trout that were so plentiful in teapot lake. My life is coming to an end soon (smoked to much) but my spirit, I think, will always be there. I f you remember me drop me a line.

The drive in was super bumpy and grown in, part of the road is washed out by 1ft of water, but still accessible with truck or SUV. Nice quiet lake, with a few small camp sites and outhouse. Very peaceful. Fishing was really good, caught lots of small rainbows, most under 11 inches, released all. Lake is extremely weedy, too weedy to troll, and hard for electric motor. Had huge success using our new Lucky Bug (Bingo Bug red/black fly) and Green Shad Slammer , just trolling the flies around.. tons of bites!
