Living My Dream Growing up I have always dreamed of working at a Park. Not necessarily for the Park, but being involved with the outdoors. Finally, 2018 my dream came true. After many years of fishing with my husband, I was hired by Waskesiu Marina Adventure Centre as a Marina Attendant. The excitement for me was being outdoors and exploring new waters I never imagined I would have the opportunity to fish. Working at the Marina, gave me the opportunity to explore new bodies of water that I never fished before. My goal was to finally have the chance to explore Kingsmere Lake and aim at getting my very first Lake Trout. Well, I accomplished just that. Not only did I get my very first Lake Trout, but I had the honour of sharing it with my husband on our 15th Wedding Anniversary. The day before, my husband surprised me by travelling to Prince Albert National Park in Northern Saskatchewan by making the 10 hour drive just to make sure my dreams would come true. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Can’t wait to see what life throws at me next.
