Heffley Lake Recreation Site, popular with RVs, offers activities year round, from swimming and canoeing in the summer to ice fishing in the winter. This site often fills up quickly in the summer, so plan accordingly. Dogs must be leashed at all times.

Heffley Lake Recreation Site is accessed via the road to the Sun Peaks Resort.

I just moved back to Kamloops Area and was surprised at how rude and unhelpful the new(er) owner actually was. The previous owner was always cheery and anxious to let you know how the fishing was and what was working and seemed happy for you to visit or stay at the resort. Check your fishing reports and buy your tackle before you go!

Hitch N' Rail

Avoid the Hitch N' Rail. The owner, I presume, is a rather rude, unfriendly little man. Didn't have the time of day to offer me. Do your self a favor and just drive on by. However, the owners of Star Lake Resort were super friendly, I recommend.
