Very fast, shallow and rocky passage. Not too many 9.9 hp motors can push a boat past here to get at the base of the falls.

Walleye Spawning Beds. Ever want to take the kids to see a spawning bed in action? Bring a high powered light and watch the fish from the bridge at night in March - April.

Very small boat launch. Ask permission from landowners for parking or move to locks to park after launching.

Small boat launch and very little parking.

Hurst Marina. Lots of parking and a major boat launch as well as gas, repairs and food at the swan, a short walk.

Manot5ick Yaught club. Good launch and storage for any kind of boat.

Good launch but not a lot of parking. Beside the Manotick Aquatic club. Club may try and charge for launch but the land is crown owned and the club has no lease so tell them to stuff it.

Long Island Locks Has a good boat launch for 12 - 30 ft. Bottom of the Rideau River "long reach"

Hickey Laketrout and Brookies

Private road to the lake. Need a vehicle with lots of clearance as the road is kept rough. Hickey is really two lakes. From the launch to the end of the first lake troll for pretty lakers. Troll the back side of the lake in 8-10 feet of water for awesome brook trout.

Beall Brookies

Access from eastbound Leslie Lake rd, across the bridge turn right. Entrance road around 9km sign on the right up the hill. Good 4X4 road tough launch but fishing is good. Fish from shore is good too but watch for poison ivy everywhere.

New road fees

Anyone visiting the lakes in the Canonto area north of Ompah, there is a new $40 per year road use fee. They do check FREQUENTLY.
