Fishenough

This summer turbid waters resulting from the June 2016 flood have made fishing challenging. Pike have been seen cruising and feeding at the surface along the weedy lake edges, and the only fish I've caught was when casting a Hexagenia dry fly to the shark like cruising Pike. Didn't know Pike would take small dries but guessing with conditions like this it's possible. Have tried many others larger dries cast with no success, no fail top water lures haven't been working also. Now if someone can suggest how to catch a Walleye in these conditions!

Playing hooky

Fished June 19th. Many small fish caught such as supercharger posted. Many different flies worked but a fast trolled big red woolly bugger produced the most, resulting in 4 double headers, though a slim pickens on a lead line deep produced 7 when trying to land a big one. Lake to myself all morning
