This #16 green chironomid under a strike indicator was one of my solutions...
Matching the hatch can be tough when bugs like this are the main course... size, colour and shape are the determining factor... are you prepared?
Runoff going directly into the lake at the boat launch during one of torrential rainfalls (in the desert no less)... I had to change all my clothes after this one
July 6 - Mother Nature rules ... she gives, takes away, and gives back again... such was my recent outing at Pat lake. Between torrential rainfalls, the fishing was pretty good... mayfly nymphs and #18 green chironomids were at top of the menu... do you try to match the hatch?
