Has to be the best lake trout fishing ever. Late September fishing at Waterbury Lake when trout are in 7 to 10 feet of water you can catch 50 fish per day. On reeling them in you can see many fish following your catch, unbelievable. Not uncommon to catch many in the 10 to 20 pound range. Biggest being 34 pounds. Limit of 2 fish per day.

What a fight, took 30 minutes to land this beast, hooked it in shallow water during the late fall spawn, ran out 40 metres of line into a 20 meter depth and the fight was on. Location Waterbury Lake near Points North Saskatchewan.
