Fall time in Thessalon can be a lot of fun!! Especially for fisherman!! While everyone is out trying to fill their big game tag I’m doing a little of that myself!! On the water!! Gorgeous Lake Huron run Salmon!

Now that’s a handful!! Well two actually! Would ya look at the size of those Smallmouth Bass!! Beautiful markings as well!

Did you know our region of Algoma boasts some of the healthiest populations of both Smallmouth, and Largemouth Bass in the entire country?! It is truly a trophy fish Mecca!! Don’t pass up an opportunity to chase some of these babies in Northern Ontario!!

First Bass outing in Zone 10 2017! All smiles and thumbs up! Here’s to year round season on bass in Northern Ontario!!

Traditions should always be carried on. Pass down the torch, set it free. So another can hold it with pride. This cold stew was plucked and returned from a Lake Huron tributary in Northern Ontario.

This Northern legend was taken jigging in 70 feet of water on none of than Big Basswood Lake on opening day!!

This beauty was one of the best birthday presents I could have ever asked for!! It allowed me to take home a boat and motor on the Wawa Ice Fishing Derby on my 36th birthday! It was also the biggest Lake Trout caught out of 1400 participants!

This absolutely gorgeous fish was caught during the annual Wawa Ice Fishing Derby on my birthday. It was the eventual winner of a mirro craft boat and Yamaha outboard motor! Also, it was the biggest Lake Trout caught of the derby that sold out with 1400 participants! What a happy birthday this was for me! :) Oh, might I add it was caught on my hometown lake as well!

Definitely one of the more unique and unexpected catches on beautiful outing this past fall! The spotted gar is one armoured warrior and in my opinion a really cool species!!
