Been an awesome time over the last 3 weekends at Drewry Lake. Seems that it can be really nice all around the south Cariboo, but the lake a different story.... Fishing in the rain seems to be the normal up there lately...... LOL. Still had a great time and caught fish, usually 2 - 5 lbs. Talked to a few folks and their biggest was around 8 lbs. The one we didn't get managed to straighten our hooks out or snap our lines. Fishing high seems to work best. There is a lot of pollen in the lake too.

Notice to all that have not heard. Horse lake and laclahache are now open to the public once again.

To all anglers that are heading to 100 Mile House abd surounding areas. Due to our forest fires the following lakes will be closed to all traffic: Horse, LacLaHache and Watson. Not sure when it will be lifted. The water skimmers have been using these 3 lakes to help with the Gustafson wildfire. Good luck everybody.

Got lots of Rainbow Trout. 2 to 3 lb average. Black is good for fly and lure.

Needa Lake, BC

Forestry Campsite. Road really rough. Ground clearence a must. Launch on a fairly steep hill. Great for 2lb or less. However there are big ones too.

Needa Lake June 19 (Fathers Day), 2016. Average weight about a pound and a half. Lost a few including a 3.5 to a 4lb. Awesome day never the less. Anything black, yellow and red. Shallow trolling worked best.

Derby coming up June 4-5.

The 29th annual Watch Lake/Green Lake Derby takes place next weekend. I don't have all the details as of yet. From what I have heard it is pretty much the same as last year. There is next to no information on the internet including all of the tourism sites around 100 Mile. If you look up the http://www.anglersatlas.com/members/90106 post in May 2014 most of the details should be accurate. I will post more when I get the info.
