Another Thank You !!!
Its good to see that the MOE is following through with their commitments to restock the severely depleted lake trout population in Moberly Lake. Another 14000 juvenile trout is awesome, hopefully we will see the third instalment of trout as promised.

Well im not sure if its a story of the squeeky wheel getting greased or a matter of trying to repopulate a missmanaged fishery, but either way I would like to thank the powers that be who supplied Moberly Lake with 14305 yearling Lake Trout. As my previosu posts suggest this lake has a high capabillity of supporting large numbers of Lake Trout and stocking this lake is long past due. Now if we can only get a few more thousand fish stocked and all user groups of the lake fishery to follow a lake trout recovery plan, I know the lake will provide everyone with an excellent sporting opertunity. Thanks again for stocking this lake and I was very pleased to see that the lake trout stocked were of the 2N genotype (reproductive) and not the sterile variety.
Why not re-stock
The lake trout fishery has been severly depleted in this lake. Why is there no effort being done to restock? Im all for closing the lake trout fishery but they are a slowgrowing fish, and since extensive netting has previously taken place, why doesnt the BC goverment help out with a stocking program?
