We went to the lake

We went to the lake to just shore fish and caught a nice 3.5 pounder within an hour of spin casting. Easy access and well marked.

King Rainbows

This lake is a bit of a drive maybe an hour doing 50 km/h on the logging road, gets steep and has some rough bedrock areas. Worth the drive. All trout larger then 50 cm have to be released, please do this as it continues to provide one of the best rainbow fisheries. Well fishing lake also take note that there are steelhead in the lake and try not mistaken one for a rainbow. Since the fish are so big in this lake i would recommend running a big 4 inche plug on a down rigger. We caught a 51.5cm fish and about a 6 pounder as well, both fish were release just after a photo

I fished this lake n

I fished this lake near the out flow the other day and got into a bunch of 14 inche cutthroat, i recoomend fishing by millstone creek as the action was steady. Anyone who has not fished this lake yet there are some really big fish hidding in there and if you have a chance to go in the morning or evening all the better as it was 85 degrees out when i went out there and the action was staedy, boating traffic seemed to not bother the fish near the creek

Good fishing at this

Good fishing at this lake for rainbows, they are so aggresive they would jump out of the water to attack the top of our drifts.

I fish this lake all

I fish this lake all the time. Even on the slowest days we will set out for where the river flows into the lake and work the drop off. Cutthroat are always feeding in this area, schools of fish have been found in the south western end of the lake as the water temp is hitting close to 70 fer. There are many trees in this area in the lake where there are plenty of fishing hiding from the sun. The best action is first thing in the morning or right around 9 pm at night it starts back up. Try using lake troll around the drop offs and you won't be dissapoionted

Hot spots

If you make it out to this lake try fishing where fairy creek flows into the lake or where granite creek flows in. Either spot is great for fishing all times of the year as cutthroat as big as 18 inches have been pulled from there. In the summer months if you are up earlier and have a boat use the channel to get into the river where the action is hot till about 8 am and starts back up around 9 pm. It is not unusual to see big fish crusing around in the river close to the surface, so be careful on your approat to make sure you don't spoke them. There is a rearing grounds channel in the river for fry to hide on high water, work near the trees with a spinner and within a few cast you should have your first cutthroat. I will add some pictures in a week or so from this lake.
