Here's the rescue operation underway . . . the fellow's hand was in that glove a second before, I was amazed when he pulled it out unscathed.

This was on a busy day at the seawall. Someone had thrown out a half-dead fish and the osprey came looking for it, then got tangled in a line. Fortunately the wildlife guys were checking licenses on the lake and cruised over within minutes to successfully untangle the bird, who eventually took off under his own power. His feet and talons were the size of my hands, and they looked pretty scary.
