Bass on!
This beauty was caught in Beaver Lake, BC on Vancouver Island. It was a beautiful day, the temps were up, and the spawn was ready to go off! These big mommas were slamming anything they could find in preparation for their parental duties. Just a couple quick shots and she was put gently back into the water to finish the spawn and to be caught another day! Awesome!

Waiting...
Sometimes it isn't just about the catching. Many a good time can be spent just by being out there and getting your lure in the water! This was taken in Knight Inlet while waiting for the next Chinook to come take my lure for a ride!
First Fish
It was a beautiful day on Shawnigan Lake, BC. My son Mikey had never caught a bass before and with a little coaxing about how good the fishing was the day before I was able to convince him to come with me. Needless to say he out-fished me! Now I have a little fishing buddy that is growing more and more fond of the great outdoors every day!

Mikey's first fish!!!
I took my son fishing for the first time and he had the time of his life! Shawnigan Lake is where this Smallmouth was caught and it sparked an instant passion for him!

Will's first Bass!
I took my son Mikey and his cousin out for their first fishing trip and got Will into his first fish ever! They had am absolute blast and can't wait to go out again. They bug me every time they get together! I can't wait either. The looks on their faces when a fish starts pulling is something that I can't describe!!!

Derby Winning Bass
I caught this Largemouth Bass at 7:00am on April 11, 2009. It was the biggest Bass weighed in for the Elk Lake Derby and won me $1000. It was also the first Largemouth Bass that I have ever caught! It weighed 6lb 7oz and I caught it on a 4" Tournament Edge black with red flake tube. I had it Texas rigged (weedless) with a rattle weight inserted inside. After weighing it in at the weighboat and taking a couple of pictures I promptly released her so she could continue her quest to spawn. The water temp was around 48 deg F so she should be starting to nest in the next couple of weeks when the temp climbs a little higher. What a great fish! What a great day!
