I caught 3 pygmy whitefish in Trout Lake on a sunny October morning. These little fish fought pretty hard but I managed to land them with the help of my friend Rufus. I would recommend Trout Lake as a fishing destination for pygmy whitefish seekers but I'm not sure what types of other fish are living here. The pygmy whitefish tasted pretty good. I cooked them in vinegar and onions and they browned pretty nice on the pan. I used an unbarbed hook with worm and bluefly maggot as bait and the pygmy whitefish were biting pretty good. My first outing consisted of 3 pygmy whitefish at 2 lbs, 2.2 lbs and a whopping 2.4 lbs.
