access is restricted to use of canoes and kayaks I'de recommend carting in a fishing canoe or kayak on to the lake. however this is just a sign in a parking lot, it would seem that unless the lake is being monitored that use of small HP motors is not an issue. this lake is definitely worth a few days of fishing from May until September. access to the lake is by Barron Canyon road east there is a beach access point, the boat launch is suitable for a small aluminum boat, kayak or canoe. the road is restricted to snowmobile in winter. the road is not plowed. you have the opportunity to target LG Bass SM Bass and Pike here. most fish up to 5ibs. the lake dosent support a large surface area so fish over 6ibs should be rare. there forage base will be pan fish,minnows,chub,leeches,frogs,salamanders,and possibly ducklings. I would recommend focusing on lure presentations 1oz or less. Spoons,spinners,and deadbait(this is a provincial park) should be good to search for neutral or inactive fish. when fish are active toss crankbaits,slash baits, jigs weedless or otherwise, try rubber swimbaits or plastics aswell. target deep breaks points humps and around the island. cast over weed flats and towards rockie points and the rock faces throughout the lake. there is ample weedgrowth throughout the lake so take your time to desect the best approach to your trip.

Sec lake is located on the south eastern tip of algonquin park. it is a wilderness lake with no development save primitive campsites throughout the lake, it is has the same drainage course as Wet lake,Mallard lake and Johhny Lake. it is an early stage methotrophic lake with ample weed growth throughtout the lake. Sec lake is roughly 5km long and 2.5 Km wide it has an average depth of 8 meters and two basins over 10meters the lake has three main lake points and ample steep breaks throughout. access to the lake is by the Barren Canyon road off of hwy 17 in Petawawa Ont
