halfmoon lake ab

nice clean lake aok. 10 unit open camping . lots of pikes varies in size mostly under limit but i pulled a 35 incker at 83/4 lbs in spring of 2007 out her and had to put her back in to breed some more /! be gentle on fish and release the big ones so they can reproduce . muskegg at either end so water is filtered pretty good . not to bad tasting fish . was great peach lake back in 2002-2006 but i think pike ate alot of them when water level got high to let them into lake for redwater river and creek near by. enjoy great for day out with day use area and playground . day use charge and boat launch charge $6.00 for day not bad!
