Northern Pike Minnow

Over last 4 days along the south end of the lake, near the boat launch and heading up north along the highway produced a ton of these fish. Average size is 2-3 pounds and several up in the 4-5 lbs range. Trolling using a meps black fury and a 2 ounce weight that rides on the line worked well. I enjoy going out and fishing and at least one can catch these fish. I often hear they eat the salmon eggs and trout eggs and should be killed. I even heard in the old days Sicamous (city close by) would have tournaments for most killed NPM fish. Then I look at regulations and and they say it's unlawful to willing kill a fish. I wish I had a final verdict from an authority on this.
