Things are warming up
Warm weather is helping the Bass fishing on Langford Lake. Big flies, and the always reliable worm is working well
Getting good at Thetis Lake
Things seem to be heating up at Thetis Lake. Anglers are doing well trolling flies from float tubes and/or worm tip wedding bands... Worked well for us. We also saw a few guys using chrominids and strike initiators in between the two islands in the middle of the lake and they seemed to be doing well. Shore anglers appeared to be using power bait, but we didn't see anyone actually reel anything in from shore.

So Excited
My son caught his first big trout a couple of years back and he was super excited about it. We wanted to release the fish, but being the proud fishing dad, I wanted to get a quick picture. Not wanting to get the slime on his hands, the plan was to hold up the line quickly, snap a picutre, and then put it back into the lake... sure enough, as fish do, it started to wiggle like crazy... you can see the excited reaction.
