What is there to say this is one of the best days in my life. I fished often but never for salmon was working in kitimat doing a project there and every day after work for almost 2 months straight I hit the river and behold the biggest fish I have ever caught 40lb 2oz Spring salmon hit my line finally and the fight was on down the river she went 125 feet of line on the line counter the line just singing with the fight and after a short 40min there she was on shore. Have to say thank you to the locals for helps and tips and showing an outsider a great time. Cant wait to see them again.

I was in kitimat working on a project every day after week I went to that small area on the shore cast out that line... and for almost 2 months and after few missed hooks and some near catches.. I finally got the fish of my dreams.. after the hook hit and the fish screamed down the river taking 125 feet of line "line counter on reel" and with the current of the river, and after a short 45min of a fight, I finally landed her i could barely lift that 40.2 oz spring salmon cause my arms where so wore out but I have to say the picture was worth every smile I could give. I must thank the locals in Kitimat for taking me under there wing and showing me different spots, ties, equipment everything they were really open to me and that doesn't happen in most local towns they usually stay secret to spots and helping outsiders but these locals where great.. cant wait to go there again on day
