My daughter and I were sitting around the house bored with nothing to do so we decided to head up to Shawnigan to see if we could catch some early season bass. We got there around 3:30 pm and had a few hours to fish before dark. We spent about 2 hours casting the shore line trying to hit docks and drops. With no luck in the first 2 hours we decided to try one more location before heading home. With a couple casts in the new location it was game on! We were hooking bass right left and centre! My daughter pulled in this one which was her largest bass ever! Turned out to be a good night!
Myself and a couple friends were trolling plugs for trout at Lake Cowichan in early February 2019. It was a cold day and we’d been on the water for about 6 hrs with only 1 bite. I decided to grab an unused rod with an unproven plug attached. I made a few casts in toward shallow water while trolling and managed to land this hog! Measured in at 24 1/2 inches! My biggest trout ever!
