Third time trying this lake in its one month ice season. First two times lost many good lakers on broken lines and missed hooks sets. The third time i took a day off work to go up and have one last try at it and we iced over 8 lake trout and managed to wrestle this 33.5” 10.8lb burbot up through the ice. An amazing day and what annaccomlised feeling after the two failed trips previously. This is actually cought on “jessie lake” which has an open season from february 14- march 15

First day of the lake trout open season for our region. -40 with the wind that morning and the fish were biting hard. Quality time spent with the wife! Cheers!
