My husband, John Dobney, rarely gets away. He's an extremely hard working man. In early February his buddy, Scott, invited John to his cottage in Haliburton for the weekend to participate in the 44th Annual Maple Lake Ice Fishing Derby. He sent me this photo of one of his catches. It was great to see him having fun and being successful on the ice. Although the pike he caught was not eligible for the derby, he certainly enjoyed himself. After all isn't that what fishing, in any weather, is all about!
