Today was too rough to jig for Halibut, so trolling for Salmon in the shelter of Lucy Island near Prince Rupert B.C.
I got up early at 5 am for a day of fishing on Babine Lake. I let the girls stay asleep in the cuddy cabin they spent the night in for the 45 minute run down the lake to try one of our favorite spots. After about an hour and a half of fishing and catching some smaller lake trout this little lady crawled out of bed just as a rod started bouncing with a bite, so I told her to go ahead and grab it. She ended up with the biggest Lake Trout we have caught on this lake! Now I can't wait for the next trip to try and beat her.
