Trolling across the lake with a big black leach at 1am this rainbow couldn't resist.

My lovely girlfriend at the time and now my lovely wife caught this chrome bullet on a cronomid down 25' after she had seen a few coming off.

So, this beauty was caught in about 3' of water. I had anchored in 10' of water and seen a few small fish feeding in the shallows, so I decided to cast for them because it was a super slow day and I didn't feel like getting skunked. First cast and bam, thought I had caught a log, until all of a sudden head shakes and big head shakes. Next thing I know I have a beautiful Rainbow screeming out my line bulldoggin me right into the weeds. She probably did this 5 or 6 times and every time I thought she was gone, but she was just resting in the weeds and I couldn't budge her. I was also using a 5 weight rod with 4lb test, which made things a little more tricky to land this beauty. 30 minutes later she was in the boat for some beautiful picture taking and released back into her home environment.
