Year after year me and my fishing friends find ourselves trying our luck at a very secluded lake about 45 minutes from our home town. This day in particular is the exact reason we always find our selves testing our luck. Whether it be summer or winter, blistering cold or brutally warm if we have the time we make the trip. This particular lake is land locked and sort of a pain to get into but we heard rumors of the fish that it holds. Well this one summer evening our crew packed up the gear and we hit the road. We arrived with about an hour and a half of light left in the day and decided to throw a few casts off the rocky shore near where we typically launch the canoe. Quite a weedy bay, sort of picture perfect for bass and pike, my buddy threw on a tube jig and within 2-3 casts landed this beautifully colored 7.5lb walleye totaling a strong 26.5" length! If at all possible please keep the name of the lake un-announced as there is only 2 land locked ways into it and we have access to one point (the other is a private home), and we are having a very difficult time with trespassers and property damage.
