Last year I was lucky enough to win south by Southwest Ontario edition with a muskie picture. This year I would love to be considered for my homes area so I figured I would submit this crappie photo of myself ice fishing on Beaver Lake which is a local favourite for crappie fishing. My spot is quite the walk especially with my sled but we'll worth it! Most just use the local boat ramp but I enjoy putting my time in for the great hitting spots! Well here is hoping for two years in a row! I never got a copy of the Anglers Atlas with my photo on it so our local canadian tire would be amazing! Tight lines! Have a great day!

After 80 hours of solo fishing, tons of trail and error, a lot of swearing, a ton of near catches and follows I decided to take a trip to lake st Clair which is a 6 hour drive for me. I felt like if I wanted to get some big fish in my hands that was the place to do it. Well my instincts were right!! I finally caught my first Muskie that came in at 49.5 inches!! I didn’t know whether to laugh cry scream or jump up and down!! (I think I did all of the above!) After I had my first covered I headed back out and ended up catching this beauty 42 incher and then one more 38 incher! It was the most memorable weekend of my fishing career and I can’t wait for my second season!!
