Fishing for muskie early summer in dows lake. Missed three muskie than managed this super aggresive pike. Hooked into him twice before actually keeping him on the line. This pike literally double back flipped out of the water while inhaling the fly. A moment in fly fishing I will never forget.
35" pike through 3" of ice, 6 hours into the day we were about to pack it in when i finally hooked up with this big girl. Heard the bell goin off outside the hut so i ran over and set the hook. At first i was worried cause i had no leader, but the hook set was perfectly timed. Single hook on the outside of the lip, she was a runner thats forsure. My biggest fish through the ice to date caught on january 9th 2016, on the st. Lawrence river. I set the bar high for 2016.
Mid-summer muskie, caught from the rideau river in Ottawa. My first muskie over 40". 43.5 to be exact, after this moment i was addicted. No better way to get your adrenaline pumping then hooking up with one of these power houses.
