Fishing at Slave Lake in the summer of 2017. My son Reid decided that a big hook catches big fish so he trolled his largest Len Thompson spoon and ended up landing this 34" Jack.. His excitement is pretty clear in this picture I snapped when we got back to the dock as a storm was rolling in.

Claire's First Fish

fishing near Thunder Bay with relatives last August. My 3-yr old was happy to get leeches out of the pail for us to bait our hooks with and was content to watch us catch fish. She loves to be out in a boat. We wanted her to experience catching her own fish so we gave her the bottom half of a rod with a leech on a jig head. She patiently held it over the side for a few minutes and was extermely excited when she hooked a little Bass. Now I have someone to take fishing this summer!
