An unbelievable trip to Nunavut and an unbelievable fishing trip too ! It was a beautiful day on the water , a cool July day made for perfect Lake Trout fishing. After trawling for a few hours with some Len Thompson spoons, we got lucky and started landing them one after the other! These beautiful fish were a hard fight but well worth it ! Bringing them into the boat without a net made this fishing trip especially difiicult and fun !

Once in a lifetime trip, once...
Once in a lifetime trip, once in a lifetime fish ! A trip to Rankin Inlet Nunavut this past summer of 2016 led to catching my personal record lake trout, with the sun shining so bright I couldn't smile with my eyes open, it was one of my proudest fishing moments ! After hours of trawling with Len Thompson spoons, I was lucky to have this beast hit my lure right before we were done for the day, such an exhilarating feeling when you're ready to quit and that last bite tugs your line. Rapala X-Rap rod and Len Thompson lures always do the trick with these beautiful fish! Weighing in at almost 20lbs this is my favourite fish I've caught so far !

Fishing on Puzzle lake never...
Fishing on Puzzle lake never seizes to amaze me. After camping on the lake for two days my brother (Lorne) and I decided to follow a small creek leading off the lake to test our limits ( and our lures!). Within the first few casts the fish were being pulled in with every cast. So after our first double header , we managed to land another double header. Two largemouth Bass and then two Rock bass. Nothing better than doing what you love with the ones you love. Late summer of 2016. Puzzle Lake Ontario.

There's always those times...
There's always those times when you wonder whether or not fishing is worth while, and times like these always seem to remind me that it is. It what I love and its in my blood. Spent a long couple hours and lost 2 lures in the worst part of the Napanee river, and when we headed home I decided to take one last cast, and I thought to myself "let this be the lucky cast of the day". And when I felt my life get tugged, Oh Boy I was excited. Might be small but it reminds me why I love fishing. Northern pike from Napanee Ontario , caught by Eva Daines. 2016.
