Sadly, Chum Salmon have been given a bad name by many anglers due to not being as favored for table fare as other species of Salmon. An ocean fresh Chum salmon can be excellent table fare, but forget food for a minute, these fish ROCK! They are an amazing sport fish, they are super aggressive, easy to catch, and extremely powerful, and will certainly put your rod and line to the ultimate test. The further into spawn they become the cooler they look with their stripes and gnarly fangs that can grow extremely large. I will always look forward to multiple hook up days fishing for these magnificent creatures and will always consider it a privelege to live near the BC coast where there is an abundance of Chum Salmon to be caught every fall.
Holly's personal biggest Rainbow so far! A rainbow this size is a fish of a lifetime for many. Not quite 10lbs, but still an amazing fish, a memory I will not soon forget! We will continue to go back every year in search of the many 10+lb rainbows Sheridan Lake is so well known to produce on a consistent basis. Way to go Holly! Congratulations My Girl!
